Correction Policy

Last updated 2026-06-21

Our commitment

Calculator accuracy is our top priority. When we discover an error — whether through internal review, user reports, or updated source data — we fix it as quickly as possible and update the affected pages.

How to report an issue

If you believe a calculator is producing incorrect results, please contact us with:

  • The calculator name or URL
  • The inputs you used
  • The result you received
  • The result you expected (and why, if possible)
  • Your email (optional, for follow-up)

You can also use the "Report an issue" button on any calculator page.

How we handle corrections

  • We investigate every report within 48 hours.
  • If a formula error is confirmed, we deploy a fix and update the "last verified" date.
  • If source data has changed (e.g. IRS tax brackets), we update the formula and note the new source.
  • We do not silently change formulas — the source and verification date are visible on each page.

Proactive reviews

Financial calculators (tax, mortgage, retirement) are reviewed when official sources publish updates — typically at the start of each tax year. Health calculators are reviewed when the underlying research or guidelines change.
