How Numbarn makes money

Numbarn is a free service. We earn revenue in two ways:

  • Display advertising. We show ads through Google AdSense. These are clearly separated from calculator content and results.
  • Affiliate links. Some calculator pages include links to third-party products or services (e.g. mortgage rate comparisons, password managers, budgeting apps). If you click one of these links and make a purchase or sign up, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate links never affect results

Calculator formulas and outputs are independent of any affiliate relationship. We do not adjust results, rankings, or recommendations to favor a partner. The math is the math.

Selection policy

  • Partners are selected for topical relevance and user utility, not payout size alone.
  • Links must be clearly labeled and separated from calculator inputs/results.
  • Unsafe, unclear, or low-trust offers are removed during periodic review.
  • Recommendations are capped and deduplicated to avoid clutter and accidental clicks.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links on Numbarn are labeled with terms such as "Sponsored," "Partner," or "Ad" near the link. If a section contains affiliate content, it is visually distinguished from the calculator itself.
